plugged in 24/7, even when not in use. We rarely think about it unless we are heating up a quick meal, but it constantly draws electricity just to keep its digital display glowing.
Intrigued by the idea of minimizing standby power consumption, I embarked on a two-week experiment to unplug my microwave between uses.
