A beautifully browned exterior doesn’t necessarily mean meat is safely cooked in the center.
When cooking chicken or other meats, use a food thermometer and follow the recommended safe internal temperature for the food you’re preparing.
4. Clean It Regularly
Oil, crumbs, and food residue can gradually build up inside the appliance.
Clean the basket and tray regularly and follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions. A clean appliance can also help reduce unwanted smoke and residue during cooking.
5. Pay Attention to a Damaged Basket
If the basket’s nonstick surface is badly scratched, peeling, or otherwise damaged, consider replacing the affected part or contacting the manufacturer.
Don’t ignore visible damage, especially if the appliance is being exposed to high cooking temperatures.
