Motorized parts, electrical attachments, and items with wiring should never go in the dishwasher unless the manufacturer specifically states that a removable component is dishwasher safe.

Does “Dishwasher Safe” Mean It Will Last Forever?

Not necessarily.

A product labeled dishwasher safe has generally been designed to tolerate machine washing under recommended conditions.

That does not guarantee that:

A knife will stay equally sharp
A coating will never fade
A finish will remain perfect forever

For expensive or delicate kitchen items, hand washing can still extend their lifespan.
